UPDATE: Reliable sources have since confirmed that 1984 will NOT begin shooting next week at the end of May. Instead principal photography is expected to begin in July.
While promoting her new movie Booksmart in an interview with Black Girl Nerds, Bille Lourd made the following comment:
“[Booksmart is] exactly like AHS—no, I’m just kidding. In AHS, we are working 16 hours day. It is a machine. There is no time for chitchat. Acting in this film is like a vacation. I have to go back to work next week.”
Although reliable sources have suggested that the upcoming ninth season of AHS doesn’t begin shooting until July, Billie’s comment made after talking about Horror Story, “I have to go back to work next week”, could be suggesting that filming is beginning a little earlier than expected.
Billie Lourd is heavily rumored to appear in 1984 regardless, joining AHS alums Emma Roberts and Sarah Paulson, as well as newcomer Gus Kenworthy.
Booksmart is playing in theaters now.
AHS: 1984 is expected to air this September on FX.
