Evan Peters Talks Returning To ‘AHS’ After Season 9

In April it was revealed by Evan Peters himself that he wouldn’t be returning for the ninth season of AHS, titled 1984.

In an interview with Gay Times, Peters revealed that he isn’t ruling out a return to the show post-1984: “Yeah, absolutely, never say never. I just… Yeah, we’ll see what happens.”

1984 will be the first installment of the series that Evan has missed after having leads roles in all 8 seasons since AHS began in 2011. Sarah Paulson, having previously confirmed her 1984 involvement, by November, will be the only actor to have appeared in every season, having previously been joined by Peters, and until she broke her streak in Cult, Lily Rabe.

In the same interview, Evan expressed that the sort of acting he’s had to do on AHS has made him “sick”: “I’m goofy, I’m silly, I like to have fun. I don’t like to yell and scream. I actually hate it. I think it’s disgusting and really awful, and it’s been a challenge for me. Horror Story sort of demanded that of me,”

AHS: 1984 is expected to air on FX in September.
